He started doing Tae Kwon Do as a young kid, moved on to bodybuilding and got back into martial arts in college, where he developed a passion for Capoeira, Muay Thai, Boxing and BJJ. Then one day, after one too many street encounters, he understood the crucial difference between ring fighting and street fighting. He
joined KMI in September 2017, got hooked and never looked back. In 2019 we invited him to partake in KMI's instructor certification program – and he has been a valued member of our team ever since.
Howard has been with the Krav Maga Institute for over 3-years. He was dedicated to practicing, even through the worst parts of the Covid-19 pandemic. He joined the Instructor program after getting to know the KMI team that make up the KMI family and their philosophy on self defense.
Prior to KMI, Howard was at another New York based Krav Maga school for 5-years. Growing up in rough neighborhoods, Howard has had a life long obsession with self defense and dealing with sudden acts of violence.

WE TRAIN RESPONSIBLY
WE CONTROL THE OUTCOME.
WE RESPECT OUR FELLOWS.
HUMANHOOD AND FELLOWSHIP FIRST.
Humanhood starts with the primal instinct to survive. However to survive over the long term and really thrive, we require a community built on trust, empathy, vulnerability and loyalty. Our community of fellow fighters train together to learn and support one another regardless of gender and ethnicity. This is why we refer to graded KMI students as 'Fellows' and put Humanhood first.
We are a safe place, where like-minded people come together to learn the most groundbreaking and efficient combat techniques and build mind-blowing physical and mental resilience.
Some could say we are like a wolf pack. We care for each other as individuals, form friendships and protect the vulnerable. And just like wolves, our pack structure enables communication, the education of the young and the transfer of knowledge across generations.
